Abstract

Xiehouyu is a special form of language expression, which contains rich cultural connotations. The issue of women in Xiehouyu has long attracted the attention of many scholars. This article attempts to analyze the collection of more than 600 idioms related to women’s issues from the perspective of combining language and culture, using analytical methods to explore the female aesthetic issues and marital relationships presented in the idioms, revealing the fate of women in a patriarchal society.
