THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN JOB SATISFACTION AND PROFESSIONAL ENGAGEMENT OF PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS
Main Article Content
Abstract
In the context of the Vietnamese education sector facing an increasing number of teachers leaving their jobs, it is urgent to understand the factors that contribute to teacher retention. Job satisfaction and professional engagement are two important factors that help teachers maintain motivation and commitment to their profession. This study aims to determine the relationship between job satisfaction and professional engagement of primary school teachers, and examine the differences in this relationship by school type (public/private) and seniority. The results show that this relationship is moderate and stable, and there is no significant difference between groups by school type or seniority. The research results contribute to clarifying the role of job satisfaction in maintaining professional engagement, thereby providing a scientific basis for the management and development of teachers in the context of educational reform.
