CONSTRUCTION AN ASSESSMENT RUBRICFOR STUDENTS’ PROBLEM-SOLVING COMPETENCY IN LEARNING STATISTICS AT MIDDLE SCHOOLS
Main Article Content
Abstract
The 2018 Mathematics Curriculum for General Education, statistics has been newly introduced as a subject area to be taught from Grade 2 through Grade 12. In the current educational context, assessment oriented toward the development of students’ qualities and competencies is a critical requirement. This study focuses on the development and proposal of a rubric for assessing students’ problem-solving competence, grounded in specific criteria. The aim is to support teachers in accurately monitoring and evaluating students’ progress in learning statistics. The proposed rubric not only enhances teaching effectiveness but also fosters improved learning outcomes in statistics for students, aligning with the ongoing educational reform.
