Abstract

The authors examine organizational and methodological foundations of the school museum activities. They also briefly describe the history of school museums in Russia. Much attention is paid to the experience of the Ho Chi Minh Museum located in Ulyanovsk School No. 76 and to the results of its experimental work. Based on the methods of overt observation, testing, mathematical and logical data analysis and interdisciplinary literature analysis, the pedagogical effectiveness of museum work for the personal development of schoolchildren is substantiated.
