A PRELIMINARY STUDY ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF A DIGITAL AND INTELLIGENT RESOURCE PLATFORM FOR “CHINESE LANGUAGE + VOCATIONAL SKILLS” IN VIETNAM

Abstract
With the deepening economic and cultural exchanges between China and Vietnam, particularly the extensive investments by Chinese enterprises in Vietnam (to date, 4,750 projects have been implemented across 19 industries), the Vietnamese market has witnessed a sharp increase in demand for interdisciplinary talents who are “technically skilled and proficient in Chinese”. This surge in learning demand has led to a significant rise in “Chinese + Vocational Skills” learning resources in the Vietnamese market. However, as of now, these resources remain fragmented, making it difficult for teachers and learners to retrieve and access effective learning materials. Furthermore, the Vietnamese government’s Decision No. 749/QĐ-TTg, issued in 2020, explicitly emphasizes the urgent need to establish shared teaching and learning resource platforms to promote the development of individualized education. Therefore, constructing a digital-intelligent resource platform for “Chinese + Vocational Skills” is of great importance to meet market demands. Accordingly, this study investigates the needs of learners and teachers for such a platform to explore approaches for developing a digital-intelligent resource platform for “Chinese + Vocational Skills” in Vietnam.
