Abstract

Patriotism education for university students in the teaching of the Communist Party of Viet Nam’s National Defense and Security Guidelines plays a significant role in fostering political steadfastness and contributing to the development of a sense of responsibility for safeguarding the Homeland. Based on theoretical research and an empirical survey conducted at universities in Ho Chi Minh City, the authors propose a system of measures to promote patriotism education for students through the teaching of the Communist Party of Viet Nam’s National Defense and Security Guidelines. These measures are structured according to the educational process, including: identifying expected learning outcomes; selecting appropriate educational forms and methods; organizing educational activities in a systematic and scientific manner; and innovating assessment and evaluation methods. The proposed measures are developed in accordance with fundamental educational principles, thereby contributing to enhancing the effectiveness of patriotism education for university students in Ho Chi Minh City in the current context
