MEASURES FOR EDUCATING PATRIOTISM AMONG UNIVERSITY STUDENTS IN THE TEACHING OF THE COMMUNIST PARTY OF VIET NAM’S NATIONAL DEFENSE AND SECURITY GUIDELINES AT UNIVERSITIES IN HO CHI MINH CITY

Abstract
Educating university students about patriotism through the course on the Communist Party of Viet Nam's National Defense and Security Guidelines plays an important role in fostering political steadfastness and a sense of responsibility for safeguarding the homeland. Based on theoretical research and a survey conducted at universities in Ho Chi Minh City, the authors propose a set of measures for promoting patriotism education through this course. Structured according to the educational process, these measures include defining objectives and content; selecting appropriate educational approaches and methods; organizing educational activities systematically; and improving assessment methods. The proposed measures are grounded in fundamental educational principles and are intended to enhance the effectiveness of patriotism education for university students in Ho Chi Minh City in the current context.
