Abstract

This study assesses primary school teachers' competency in organizing experiential activities (EAs) in science teaching in Long An Ward, Tay Ninh Province. A cross-sectional descriptive survey was conducted with 41 science teachers selected through criterion-based convenience sampling. Data were collected using a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire comprising 33 indicators across five competency domains and were analyzed using means, standard deviations, and rankings. Teachers' overall competency was rated as fairly good (M = 3.86, SD = 0.70). Preparation received the highest mean score (M = 3.95), whereas stakeholder coordination received the lowest (M=3.59). At the indicator level, developing EA content was rated as good (M = 4.34), while actively listening and responding to the views of collaborating stakeholders received the lowest score (M=3.29). The paper recommends strengthening teachers' coordination skills and capacity to design assessment tools, as well as developing professional learning communities.
