Abstract

Environmental protection education is a necessary component of general education, contributing to the development of students’ awareness, attitudes, skills, and responsible behaviors toward the living environment. This article analyzes the possibility of integrating environmental protection education objectives into the General Education Curriculum, with an orientation toward developing students’ competencies and qualities. The study employs the method of analyzing policy documents, educational curricula, and relevant studies related to the topic. The findings show that these objectives can be integrated into general educational goals, expected learning outcomes, subject content, teaching methods, experiential activities, and assessment. Key areas for integration include Nature and Society, Science, Natural Sciences, History and Geography, Geography, Biology, Civic Education, Technology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Literature, Arts, Local Education, and Experiential and Career-oriented Activities.
